Description: Job Title - Technician Location - Morrisville NC Duration - Contract For 1+ years Job Summary We are seeking a Battery Test Technician with experience in electronics testing, manufacturing, or engineering environments. The ideal candidate will perform testing and analysis on battery cells, battery packs, and charging equipment while supporting engineering teams in product validation, troubleshooting, and test development. This role requires hands-on experience with electronic test equipment, documentation, fixture assembly, and failure analysis.
Key Responsibilities - Perform testing on battery cells, battery packs, and battery charging systems.
- Execute test procedures based on engineering requirements and specifications.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain laboratory and test equipment.
- Build and modify test harnesses, fixtures, and test setups.
- Conduct inspection, testing, and failure analysis to identify root causes of defects.
- Document test results and maintain accurate records of all testing activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve test, process, and design-related issues.
- Assemble and disassemble electrical and mechanical components for validation activities.
- Create test procedures and documentation for prototype products when needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment.
- Communicate technical findings effectively with engineering, production, and management teams.
- Perform additional testing and engineering support activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Associate Degree in Electronics, Technical Diploma, Military Electronics Certification, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronics testing, manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of electronic test equipment such as:
- Digital Multimeters (DMM)
- Oscilloscopes
- Power Supplies
- Data Acquisition Systems
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Experience assembling and disassembling electronic and mechanical components.
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and test records.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely work around high-voltage battery systems.
