Location: McLean, Virginia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Workday HCM Solution Architect to support a Workday practice. This role involves leading projects in the Human Capital Management (HCM) area, with a focus on the HCM and compensation modules of Workday. The position requires a blend of project management, solution architecture, and team leadership to deliver effective solutions and mentor junior staff. This is a hybrid role based in McLean, VA, and requires U.S. citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver projects in the Human Capital Management (HCM) area, utilizing project management skills, analytical capabilities, and solution architecture expertise.
- Serve as the liaison between the technical team and business stakeholders to develop solutions and translate business requirements.
- Architect Workday HCM and Compensation solutions, ensuring all work streams are cohesive and cross-functional impacts are addressed.
- Lead functional projects and configuration activities for enhancements and new functionality within the HCM domain.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices, partnering with clients to understand pain points and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Manage a small team of functional analysts, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Maintain a balance of hands-on system work and team oversight, with the expectation of not only leading but also understanding configuration details.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5+ years of experience with HCM systems.
- 3+ years of experience with Workday HCM, including Core and Advanced Compensation.
- 3+ years of experience with project management.
- 2+ years of experience with people management, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
Skills:- Knowledge of HR processes.
- Ability to act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to develop and negotiate solutions.
- Capacity to design and articulate solutions implemented within Workday.
Education:- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within larger, complex company environments.
- Knowledge of touchpoints with Security, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Talent modules.
- Ability to work effectively in both structured and unstructured environments.
- Possession of consultative, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
