Role Overview:We are seeking a hands-on Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing Agile team delivering modern, scalable applications. Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architecture-aligned solutions
- Provide mentorship and guidance to mid-level developers; lead code and design reviews
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate technical solutions into clear outcomes
- Build and enhance microservices-based applications using Java/JEE and Spring frameworks
- Develop, test, and deploy features following Agile best practices
- Create and maintain automated test suites (Cypress, Playwright, or Cucumber)
- Collaborate across teams to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
- Support production applications by troubleshooting defects and delivering timely fixes
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and overall software delivery lifecycle
Qualifications:- 5-7+ years of experience as a hands-on Java Developer
- Strong expertise with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Exposure to front-end technologies (preferably Angular)
- Experience with automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within a technical team
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and backend frameworks (Hibernate/JPA)
- Experience with AWS/cloud technologies, Docker, or container platforms
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (DB2, MongoDB)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:- Experience in mortgage or financial services environments
- Prior experience supporting Freddie or Fannie environments
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD practices
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $50.00 and $68.25per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
