Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Columbia, SC that is seeking a Project Manager.

Summary:
The successful Project Manager will come in, take ownership, learn the environment quickly, build relationships with the technical teams, and consistently drive projects forward. We are looking for someone who sees an obstacle and immediately starts figuring out how to remove it rather than waiting for someone else to provide the answer. This person must work effectively within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, managing technology projects across multiple clients, priorities, and technical teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience managing technical IT projects, ideally across both infrastructure and software/application environments
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and general IT infrastructure concepts
* Experience working with technical teams such as software engineering, infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, DevOps, database, and application teams
* Strong project planning, organization, prioritization, and documentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical resources and non-technical business stakeholders
* Experience identifying and managing project risks, dependencies, timelines, and competing priorities
* Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management environments
* Familiarity with common project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
* Highly driven, motivated, and results-oriented
* A true self-starter and go-getter
* Takes ownership rather than waiting for direction
* Naturally proactive and willing to ask questions
* Comfortable following up and pushing teams to keep projects moving
* Strong sense of urgency and accountability
* Able to work through ambiguity and changing priorities
* Confident communicating with both technical teams and leadership
* Resourceful and solution-oriented
* Organized, detail-oriented, and able to see the bigger picture
* Collaborative and personable, but not afraid to have difficult conversations when necessary

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
