Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant Revenue Accounting to support revenue accounting operations within the Oil & Gas industry. This role will be responsible for recording operated and non-operated revenue, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal accounting policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP, Excalibur, monthly close processes, financial analysis, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record operated and non-operated revenue across multiple product lines
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of monthly revenue entries
  • Prepare cash entries, accruals, and reclassification entries
  • Process reverse and rebook entries when required
  • Analyze accrual-to-actual variances and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in SAP and Excalibur
  • Perform monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations
  • Reconcile data between Excalibur and SAP systems
  • Analyze and reconcile intercompany account balances
  • Support owner inquiries with detailed reconciliations and issue resolution
  • Validate financial data and monthly accounting entries
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather revenue-related information
  • Follow up with non-operated partners for missing revenue data
  • Work with Division Order teams to resolve revenue issues
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and company policies
  • Ensure accounting integrity through proper internal controls
  • Participate in special accounting projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong experience in:
    • Revenue Accounting
    • SAP
    • Excalibur
    • Journal Entries
    • Account Reconciliations
    • Financial Analysis
    • GAAP Compliance
    • SEC Reporting
  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification
  • Master s degree in:
    • Accounting
    • Finance
    • Business Administration
