Job Title: Spotfire / SQL Data Analyst
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite 4 days/week)
Job Type: Contract (C2C)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Spotfire / SQL Data Analyst high-performing analytics team in Houston, TX. This backfill opportunity requires a data-driven individual who can transform complex data into actionable business insights using visualization tools and SQL. Candidates must be local and available to work onsite 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using TIBCO Spotfire

  • Write scalable SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement data requirements

  • Analyze trends, anomalies, and KPIs to support decision-making

  • Ensure data accuracy, streamline reporting processes, and automate manual tasks

  • Support data governance and visualization standards across projects

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience in TIBCO Spotfire (IronPython scripting, data wrangling, custom visuals)

  • Advanced SQL knowledge (joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs, etc.)

  • Hands-on experience with large datasets and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) or data warehousing

  • Industry background in energy, manufacturing, or finance a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

  • Capable of translating business needs into technical solutions
