Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a well-established organization, is seeking a Field Service Support Specialist to join their Infrastructure Team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term growth potential. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00 onsite in Irving, TX. This role supports infrastructure across hundreds of distributed field locations, each operating independently while receiving centralized IT support.

Overview:
The position focuses on supporting servers, virtualization, Active Directory, and hardware environments across remote sites. The specialist will work as part of a collaborative infrastructure team distributed across multiple U.S. locations, providing troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support for critical systems.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-motivated, and enjoys solving diverse technical challenges. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as field locations may occasionally have non-standard requests. Candidates with both strong technical skills and the ability to communicate clearly with end users will be successful in this role.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or field support
* Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, and server hardware
* Solid understanding of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting
* Hands-on experience supporting servers across multiple locations
* Proven ability to diagnose issues and guide users through solutions
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Adaptable mindset with comfort handling unique or non-standard technical requests
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
* Exposure to project-based work or coordination is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
