Position Title: Senior API/Microservices Developer

Pay Rate: $75/hour on W2
Position Description:
Join a dynamic, 100% remote agile development team dedicated to digital modernization for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As a Senior API/Microservices Developer, you'll lead the design, development, and integration of modular microservices and RESTful APIs using cutting-edge Java technologies. Collaborate directly with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions that enhance environmental data management and scientific applications. Your work will modernize legacy systems, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with federal security standards. Top Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring Data and REST API design
- Proven expertise in microservices architecture, including designing, developing, and deploying scalable RESTful APIs and integrating with Oracle/PostgreSQL databases
- Strong background in cloud-native development, DevOps practices, performance optimization, and modernizing legacy applications into secure, maintainable microservices
