IT SecOps Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT SecOps Lead in Miami, FL (Florida).

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Security & SOC Operations Lead to provide operational leadership across enterprise security, identity management, compliance, and security operations. This contract engagement is designed to stabilize existing security operations, assume ownership of critical security platforms, and lead the implementation of a new Security Operations Center (SOC) solution.

Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations & Identity Management:
* Administer and support enterprise identity platforms including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Okta
* Manage privileged access solutions, authentication controls, MFA policies, SSO integrations, and account governance
* Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and operational incidents
* Maintain enterprise security technologies including endpoint security, email security, data protection, and security monitoring solutions

Compliance & Risk Management:
* Support PCI-DSS and SOX compliance initiatives
* Coordinate security audits, access reviews, remediation activities, and policy enforcement
* Track security advisories, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts
* Maintain documentation, security procedures, and operational runbooks

Infrastructure & Security Platform Administration:
* Oversee security integrations across cloud, network, and endpoint environments
* Support Microsoft Azure, VMware Cloud, and related infrastructure technologies
* Coordinate platform upgrades, licensing, vendor support, and operational improvements
* Manage relationships with key technology and security vendors

SOC Transition & Vendor Oversight:
* Lead onboarding and implementation of a new SOC platform
* Coordinate integration of security telemetry, monitoring, and detection capabilities
* Develop operational procedures and incident response runbooks

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, or IT Security
* Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, and identity governance
* Hands-on experience with security tools such as EDR/XDR, PAM, email security, DLP, and security monitoring platforms
* Experience supporting PCI-DSS and SOX-regulated environments
* Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management
* Proven ability to manage vendors, drive operational improvements, and lead technical initiatives
* Security certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus
* Experience with SOC, MDR, or managed security service transitions preferred
* PowerShell scripting, security automation, vendor governance, compliance auditing, and cloud security administration preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
