Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Architect - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions with a strong emphasis on automation. The ideal candidate will leverage Python, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to automate network tasks, lead architectural discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts within a virtual environment
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
- Develop and implement automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, and management
- Design and maintain scripts and tools to automate network tasks and workflows
- Implement and manage network orchestration tools to streamline operations
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline operations and processes
- Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes related to network and automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, DevOps engineers, and software developers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network architects and engineers
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 7+ years of proven experience as a network architect or in a similar senior-level network engineering role
- Extensive experience with network automation tools and practices
- Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions
- Proficiency in network protocols, services, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, VRFs)
- Very strong proficiency in Python programming and Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
- Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) such as Arista CVP or Cisco ACI
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Desired skills: - Advanced certifications in Networking (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE)
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL, Nautobot)
- Arista ACE Level 5+ or Cisco DevNet certifications
Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
