About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) platform. In this role, you will lead complex initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions across the ServiceNow VR platform
- Build and customize applications using scripting, workflows, and low-code/out-of-the-box capabilities
- Lead large-scale, complex technology initiatives with enterprise-wide impact
- Act as a technical escalation point and mentor junior engineers
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform unit testing using established standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with risk and governance standards
- Partner with platform engineering, production support, and stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions
- Collaborate with technical experts and cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges
- Manage integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (REST/SOAP APIs)
- Support Agile development processes, including sprint planning, delivery, and release management
- Maintain clear documentation in Confluence for all solutions and enhancements
- Provide L3 production support as needed
Minimum Qualifications- 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development, implementation, or support experience
- 5+ years of experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- 1+ year of experience with web technologies (JavaScript ES5+, HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
Preferred Qualifications- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist - Vulnerability Response certification
- Micro-certifications (e.g., Service Portal, ATF, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub)
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, React)
- 2+ years working with RESTful or SOAP APIs
- 2+ years of Agile development experience
- Experience integrating with security tools such as Qualys, Wiz, NVD, or Phosphorus
Skills & Competencies- Strong understanding of web-based protocols and standards
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage complex technical initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions
Additional Information- This role requires working onsite at a core location three days per week
