Software Engineer, ServiceNow

We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, or troubleshooting ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts and consulting on scalable solutions.
  • 1+ years of experience with web technologies (JavaScript ES5+, HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL).
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of web-based protocols, APIs, and integration standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
About the Job

In this role, you will design and deliver scalable ServiceNow solutions that support critical business operations. You will work across teams to solve complex technical challenges, lead initiatives with broad organizational impact, and ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable platform implementations.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications using scripting and platform capabilities.
  • Lead complex technical initiatives, including company-wide efforts, and provide mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Develop scalable and secure solutions that align with engineering standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues, including escalations.
  • Build and customize workflows, automation, and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Partner with production support teams and act as a Level 3 (L3) escalation resource.
  • Manage releases and deployments in coordination with platform and enterprise teams.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management and security requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
Additional Information
  • This role requires working onsite at a core location 3 days per week.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
