Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As a senior member of the technical team, this role involves supervising and developing software to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives for specific applications. The Lead Software Engineer is involved in all phases of the SDLC, from analysis to deployment, and utilizes in-depth knowledge of technology to recommend innovations that provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
Responsibilities: - Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications that support business units or support functions
- Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
- Work closely with the line of business and architects to provide implementation solutions to protect various software applications
- Create prototypes to prove the design
- Prepare UML diagrams to describe the current and future state of the application
- Coordinate collaboration with external programming teams to deliver software on time and within budget
- Provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives
Requirements: - Experience with the latest Gen AI tools and ability to deliver 50% of deliverables using them
- Experience developing Microservices using Spring Boot and Java 21
- Experience with OpenShift Containers or similar tools
- Proficiency in at least one RIA Framework: AngularJS, ReactJs, or jQuery
- Proficiency in at least one ORM/Persistence Framework: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, JPA
- Experience with Source Control tools: Bit Bucket, GitHub or similar
- Knowledge of Maven, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), JUnit, and Mockito
- Experience with IDEs: Eclipse, IntelliJ, or other
- Experience with at least one RDBMS and SQL: Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server
- Experience with Agile/Iterative development and the full SDLC
- Front-end web development experience with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, SASS
- Experience with OpenStack
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
