Role Overview
This role focuses on validating and automating testing for satellite communication hardware. The engineer will work with RF systems, develop automated test workflows, and deliver data-driven insights to cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure satellite communication modems and RF subsystems meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements through RF hardware validation.
- Build and maintain automated test execution across multiple phases to improve coverage, consistency, and speed.
- Identify early-stage issues using automated measurements with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and related RF tools.
- Produce test reports that translate complex RF data into actionable insights for engineering and program teams.
- Support and execute INE-related test activities.
- Provide rotational support for urgent test issues or escalations.
- Develop automated comparison and analysis tools for evaluating test results across builds and configurations.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience and 2 years of hands-on RF testing experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and VNAs.
- Experience with automated test frameworks and data pipelines.
- Ability to interpret RF measurements and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with satellite communications or wireless systems.
- Python-based automation experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance testing (FCC, CE, etc.).
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop or system-level integration testing.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location.
