Scope: The IT Director's responsibilities include managing/mentoring employees within the IT department, liaising with other business units to understand technical needs, and developing and implementing solutions that fulfill the organizations' objectives. This role requires prior experience in an equivalent leadership position, demonstrating the ability to oversee teams, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver results in a complex IT environment.
Primary Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Overseeing all IT operations including staff and infrastructure
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives
- Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement
- Demonstrating technical expertise and knowledge of the relevant platform / products in scope of role
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors
- Communicating with IT team and across all departments
- Assessing the need for new equipment and software
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results
Qualifications/Skills: - Degree in Computer Science or a related field required
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a related role
- Expert proficiency level with: Microsoft Active Directory / 365, Firewall/Network solutions such as Cisco Meraki, and Windows Server/VMware. SQL Server knowledge a plus
- Exceptional critical thinking skills
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and interact at all levels of the business including members of the senior leadership team
- Excellent project management skills
- Point-of-Sale experience a plus
- Sense of urgency and ability to effectively prioritize projects
