Description:

The Project Manager will lead and support a variety of vehicle and hardware delivery initiatives within a fast-paced production and integration environment. This role focuses on delivering complex technical programs on schedule and within budget while ensuring adherence to organizational processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.

The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional activities, manage program execution, and support continuous improvement efforts across engineering, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and other key functional areas.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution
  • Manage on-site activities supporting post-production integration efforts, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met.
  • Oversee vehicle and hardware flow into the facility to support on-time delivery of contractual requirements.
  • Establish clear program direction across a matrixed team including Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Contracts, and Finance.
  • Develop and maintain program and project plans, including goals, staffing requirements, schedules, risk assessments, contingencies, and resource allocations.
  • Support the consolidation and maintenance of schedules across multiple concurrent projects and contracts.
Risk, Quality & Decision-Making
  • Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities, driving mitigation plans and monitoring outcomes.
  • Ensure program compliance with internal policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Apply sound judgment to deliver ethical, timely, and cost-effective decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing corrective actions.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, partners, and customer stakeholders across varying time zones.
  • Present program status, proposals, and technical updates to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear documentation of program activities, deliverables, and change requests.
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead, motivate, and guide multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams.
  • Support team members through technical and operational challenges, ensuring successful completion of program deliverables.
  • Assist in project oversight, including material procurement and evaluation of task requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of project management experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, and control processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and program reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree and 7+ years of experience.
  • Industry-recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience leading complex technical projects in engineering, manufacturing, or defense-related environments.
