Role Summary
A senior-level Lead Deployment Engineer is responsible for managing large-scale network transformation projects, focusing on migrating enterprise security infrastructure from Check Point to Fortinet technologies. This role involves providing technical leadership, overseeing deployment activities, and mentoring engineering teams to ensure successful execution of firewall, network, and automation initiatives in a global environment. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise in network security and infrastructure modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in Check Point to Fortinet migration activities, including planning, deployment, and testing.
  • Oversee the configuration, optimization, and management of FortiGate firewalls within a complex network environment.
  • Analyze existing Check Point firewall policies, VPN configurations, NAT settings, and security architecture for migration readiness.
  • Coordinate end-to-end migration processes, including detailed planning, execution, testing, and rollback strategies.
  • Drive network segmentation and security modernization initiatives aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Guide deployment engineers through implementation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with NetDevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to support automation and operational improvements.
  • Participate in maintenance windows, change management, and rollout activities for production environments.
  • Ensure all migration activities comply with enterprise security policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and escalation support to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in network deployment or network security engineering.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and related security solutions.
  • Strong background in Check Point firewall administration and migration projects.
  • Proficiency in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Experience with VPN technologies such as IPSec, SSL VPN, and Site-to-Site VPN.
  • Familiarity with FortiManager and centralized policy management tools.
  • Proven ability to analyze and migrate firewall policies effectively.
  • Experience deploying High Availability (HA) firewall configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work on-site as required.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 - $66.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
