Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Java Engineer with a strong background in the Banking or Financial Services sector to join our team. This is a critical role focused on building high-performance, secure backend services within a distributed systems environment.
Submission Requirements (Strict)
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in Banking or Finance is required.
- Interview Process: Two-round process (on-camera), including a live coding assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience primarily using Java.
- Technical Core: Expert knowledge of Core Java (modern versions), data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and JVM fundamentals.
- Frameworks: Extensive experience building backend services using Spring / Spring Boot.
- API Design: Hands-on expertise with REST APIs, JSON, and API design best practices.
- Testing & Quality: Proven experience with automated testing (JUnit/TestNG, Mockito) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Workflow: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows in an Agile environment.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of resolving complex issues in distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Cloud: Experience with Azure (deploying or operating Java services).
- DevOps: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
- System Reliability: Improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and operational readiness (runbooks, alerts).
- Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis on production issues and implement sustainable fixes and preventive controls.
- Collaboration: Work alongside architects and product managers to translate business requirements into technical delivery plans.
- CI/CD: Contribute to the automation of build, test, and release processes.
