Project Controls Estimator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking a Project Controls Estimator.

What to Expect:
As a Project Controls Estimator, you will be playing a critical role in company critical projects. You will understand cost drivers at the fundamental level while facilitating value engineering efforts cross functionally, enabling to rapidly scale our manufacturing facilities at high speeds.

What You'll Do:
* Develop, compile and present high-level cost estimates for multiple projects
* Develop detailed cost estimates as designs develop, communicating with various stakeholders on cost drivers and value engineering opportunities across all trades
* Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate risks and communicate opportunities
* Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the program goals
* Create what-if scenario estimates for program strategy and decision making
* Develop long term strategy on estimation methodology, tool and systems for CAPEX projects

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects, 5+ years of estimation experience required
* Experience in estimation with Mechanical, Structural, MEP strongly required
* Experience in value engineering and cost modeling with fast turnaround results
* Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must
* Knowledge of how things are built at the fundamental level, experience with construction management preferred
* Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines, aggressive goals and demanding work environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
