We are seeking an Application Programmer with strong Python development capabilities to work on structured note pricing logic. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with complex dependencies and integration points, possess an analytical mindset, and be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications for structured note pricing.
- Work with complex system dependencies and integration points, including SPDS, Amethyst, and Cyte.
- Conduct methodical analysis to explore all possible solutions, validate assumptions, and resolve technical blockers.
- Collaborate with Quantitative Strategies Group (QSG), Technology, and Front Office teams.
- Interpret business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with SQL.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Professional Attributes:- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business needs.
- Thorough and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to build relationships with various teams.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A good grasp of structured products and payoff mechanics, or the ability to learn quickly.
Work Location
This position requires the candidate to be onsite in Jersey City, NJ for three days per week.
