Summary

Position Summary

The Technical Manager will support Client’s Oil and Gas data-management operations by researching and comparing information maintained in paper records and relational databases to establish the authoritative data source. The role will review metadata quality, identify data inaccuracies through SQL scripts, coordinate with Client IT resources, and establish standards, policies, and control procedures to maintain data quality within the Client Technical Information Management System.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Compare and research Oil and Gas data maintained in paper records and relational databases.
  • Review paper records including Legal papers, Forms, Reports, Scientific maps, Engineering maps, and Schematics.
  • Review data maintained in Client relational databases, including Client Technical Information Management System and Oracle database tools.
  • Establish the authoritative source for Oil and Gas data by comparing information across paper and electronic records.
  • Continuously review metadata quality standards.
  • Use Structured Query Language scripts to identify and capture data inaccuracies.
  • Work with local Client IT resources to provide data-management support.
  • Establish data-quality standards and policies.
  • Develop and apply appropriate control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with data-quality requirements within TIMS.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Active Project Management Professional certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of Oil and Gas experience in drilling operations, digital well-log data, directional surveys, well-completion reports, pipelines, and platform structures.
  • Strong understanding of relational database functionality.
  • Should have experience in any Federal Project
  • Experience using SQL scripts or queries to review and identify data inaccuracies.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Client New Orleans office.
  • Resume must clearly demonstrate the required qualifications and at least 10 years of applicable Oil and Gas experience.
  • Must sign the required Contractor Employee Non-Disclosure Agreement before beginning work.
  • Must be eligible to complete the required EOD, background-investigation, suitability, and DOI PIV/HSPD-12 credentialing processes.

DOI PIV/HSPD-12 and Security Requirements

The selected candidate must be eligible for Federal credentialing before receiving unsupervised physical or logical access to Client facilities and information systems.

  • Obtain Enter on Duty approval before beginning contract work.
  • Be either a U.S. citizen or an individual lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence or employment, supported by appropriate immigration documentation.
  • Have resided in the United States for a minimum of three years.
  • Successfully complete the required identity verification and Federal suitability process.
  • Complete a National Criminal History Check.
  • Be eligible for a Federal background investigation, generally NACI or higher, depending on the required access.
  • Receive a favorable background-investigation determination to continue working on the contract.
  • Obtain and maintain a Government-issued DOI Access Card/PIV credential before receiving unsupervised facility or system access.
  • Complete required Bureau/DOI information-security training if access to Government IT systems is required.
  • Maintain compliance with Government security, credentialing, privacy, and access requirements.
