Summary

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst will support Client’s Oil and Gas data-quality activities by identifying, reviewing, and correcting missing or inaccurate well-related information maintained within Client records and information systems.

The role will perform quality reviews of well files, well data, unitization documentation, directional surveys, well coordinates, total-depth information, and raw digital well logs received from offshore Oil and Gas operators.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct missing or inaccurate Oil and Gas data.
  • Review and validate missing well data points.
  • Review and correct well kickoff-point information.
  • Review directional-survey data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review and correct total-depth data points.
  • Review and correct latitude and longitude information.
  • Prepare Data Problem Reports documenting identified data-quality issues.
  • Review and perform quality assurance of:
    • Well files
    • Well data
    • Unitization-quality documentation
  • Process raw digital well logs received by Client from offshore Oil and Gas operators.
  • Support data validation, data-quality assurance, and correction activities within Client’s existing information-management environment.
  • Coordinate identified data problems and corrections with the Technical Manager and relevant Client personnel.
  • Follow Client procedures and standards for data accuracy, completeness, documentation, and quality control.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Oil and Gas experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Drilling operations
    • Digital well-log data
    • Directional surveys
    • Well-completion reports
    • Pipelines
    • Platform structures
  • Strong understanding of relational database functionality.
  • Ability to review technical Oil and Gas information and identify missing, inaccurate, or inconsistent data.
  • Ability to work full-time and onsite at the Client New Orleans office.
  • Must sign the required Contractor Employee Non-Disclosure Agreement before beginning work.
  • Must be eligible to complete the required EOD, background-investigation, suitability, and DOI PIV/HSPD-12 credentialing processes.

DOI PIV/HSPD-12 and Security Requirements

The selected candidate must be eligible for Federal credentialing before receiving unsupervised physical or logical access to Client facilities and information systems.

The candidate must:

  • Obtain Enter on Duty approval before beginning contract work.
  • Be either:
    • A U.S. citizen; or
    • An individual lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence or employment, supported by appropriate immigration documentation.
  • Have resided in the United States for a minimum of three years.
  • Successfully complete the required identity verification and Federal suitability process.
  • Complete the required I-9 identification verification as part of the Federal credentialing process.
  • Complete a National Criminal History Check.
  • Be eligible for a Federal background investigation, generally NACI or higher, depending on the required access.
  • Receive a favorable background-investigation determination to continue working on the contract.
  • Obtain and maintain a Government-issued DOI Access Card/PIV credential before receiving unsupervised facility or system access.
  • Complete required Bureau/DOI information-security training if access to Government IT systems is required.
  • Maintain compliance with Government security, credentialing, privacy, and access requirements.
