The OpportunityWe collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Montague region seeking Automation Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Design, program, and test PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system failures and performance issues.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation systems and processes.
- Conduct training for operators and maintenance personnel on new automation systems.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, and robotics in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) and HMI/SCADA development.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Experience with vision systems, sensors, and other automation components.
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation solutions.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with SCADA systems and industrial control protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) for data storage, processing, and visualization.
- Proficiency in front-end development (e.g., React, Angular) for creating user interfaces for automation tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive maintenance or process optimization.
