Key Responsibilities- Designs, develops, and implements automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoots and optimizes existing automation systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define project requirements.
- Develops and maintains detailed documentation for automation systems, including schematics, software, and operational procedures.
- Conducts training for manufacturing personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated equipment.
- Stays current with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices to recommend continuous improvements.
- Manages automation projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA development.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation systems.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for quality inspection and guidance.
- Familiarity with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) for process optimization and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior engineers or production staff on new automation systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
