We are seeking a
Structural Engineer III with
5-10 years of experience supporting
nuclear power plant modification and capital improvement projects. This role will support extended power uprate-related engineering efforts and will serve as a
Responsible Design Engineer (RDE), performing
Owner Acceptance Reviews and ensuring design quality, compliance, and technical rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support nuclear power plant modification and capital improvement projects
- Perform Owner Acceptance Reviews for structural engineering designs and deliverables
- Serve as the Responsible Design Engineer (RDE) for assigned scopes of work
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and design documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear, regulatory, and industry engineering standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design through implementation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
- 5-10 years of structural engineering experience in a nuclear power plant environment
- Experience supporting nuclear plant modifications or capital projects
- Proven experience performing Owner Acceptance Reviews
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill Responsible Design Engineer duties
- Strong technical documentation, review, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Extended Power Uprate (EPU) initiatives
- Familiarity with nuclear quality assurance, design control, and configuration management processes
- Experience working in highly regulated environments
Work Environment
- Engineering/project-based role within a regulated nuclear utility environment
- Collaboration with cross-functional technical and project teams
