Summary

Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to join our team in Mount Prospect, Illinois. In this role, you will oversee IT and software development projects, ensuring goals are met efficiently and within compliance standards. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and timely achievement of objectives.
Monitor adherence to project guidelines and processes, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Generate detailed reports on project progress, tracking milestones and addressing any deviations from the plan.
Participate in design and ongoing maintenance projects, contributing to both new initiatives and sustaining efforts.
Facilitate improvements to the IT Toll Gate processes, enhancing efficiency and compliance.
Support the team in achieving critical goals, including timely project completion, issue resolution, and minimizing design defects.
Communicate effectively with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and development staff to ensure alignment and progress.
Lead IT application development and service projects through structured stage-gate processes.
Manage project budgets, including calculating expenses, tracking spend, and maintaining alignment with financial expectations.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT project management, with expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies.
PMP Certification is required to demonstrate advanced project management skills.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for tracking and managing project workflows.
Ability to manage vendor relationships effectively, including external vendors.
Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Platform and its application in project environments.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through structured processes.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with senior management, peers, and technical teams.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions.
