Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer for a content platform team. This role will act as first-level support and development for incoming production software application issues related to merchandising applications. The solutions developed will have a direct impact on customers. This position involves a career path in software development, offering an opportunity to expand coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as first-level support and development for incoming production software application issues.
- Develop monitoring solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and implement fixes for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA).
- Perform SQL queries to resolve technical challenges.
- Improve systems that gather metrics on features.
- Work alongside development on corporate and divisional software projects.
- Update and enhance current software.
- Automate support processes and document systems.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree is required.
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills: Candidates must be detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding skills in Perl, C/C++, and/or Java.
- Technical skills including Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, and UNIX/LINUX.
Compensation & Benefits
