Software Engineering Consultant (Contingent Resource)

About the Role

In this contingent role, you will provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze multifaceted engineering challenges, shape technical solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and consult on high-impact engineering initiatives involving complex architectures and long-term strategic planning.
  • Evaluate and decompose intricate technical problems, considering multiple variables-including ambiguous or unprecedented factors-to recommend effective solutions.
  • Contribute to decision-making and execution for multi-dimensional engineering issues that require a deep understanding of processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, providing technical insights and strategic recommendations to advance project goals.
  • Support solution design and delivery through expert-level engineering analysis and configuration work.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, demonstrated through professional work, consulting engagements, military service, training, or formal education.
  • Expert proficiency in Pega configuration with hands-on implementation experience.
  • Strong Java development experience with the ability to design, build, and troubleshoot complex components.
