Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Long Island City, NY is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-impact transformation initiative focused on building and enhancing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who excels at uncovering business needs, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and translating complex requirements into actionable solutions. The Business Analyst will work closely with business, finance, analytics, and technology teams to support the delivery of meaningful insights and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do:
* Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define business and functional requirements
* Serve as the bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project delivery
* Lead requirements discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
* Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable requirements and user stories
* Collaborate with analytics, reporting, and data teams to support dashboard and reporting initiatives
* Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that drive operational efficiency
* Support projects through the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation and delivery
* Facilitate meetings, document decisions, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate project progress

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting business and technology initiatives
* Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis skills
* Experience working on data, analytics, reporting, dashboard, or business intelligence projects
* Ability to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and uncover root business needs
* Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
* Experience working with cross-functional teams including business, finance, technology, and analytics groups
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Exposure to data warehouse environments, reporting platforms, and data-driven projects
* Familiarity with SQL, data concepts, and reporting ecosystems
* Experience collaborating with BI Developers, Data Engineers, or Analytics teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
