Senior Test Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA/UAT Test Analyst to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance activities for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test planning, test execution, defect management, regression testing, integration testing, and release readiness. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and project teams to ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows to ensure completeness and testability.
• Create, maintain, and update Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test suites.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, testing strategies, and quality assurance documentation.
• Execute manual User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform regression, integration, exploratory, accessibility, performance, and security testing as required.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and provide recommendations for defect severity and prioritization.
• Prepare and validate test data for UAT and integration testing.
• Assess test readiness, environment readiness, and release readiness.
• Monitor test coverage, identify testing gaps, and recommend risk-based testing approaches.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to identify opportunities for test automation.
• Provide QA/UAT estimates, testing assumptions, status reports, metrics, and executive summaries.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Support production releases by contributing to go/no-go decisions and release readiness activities.
• Continuously improve QA processes, templates, standards, and testing methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA analysts and promote testing best practices across project teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience creating:

  • Test Summary Reports
  • Release Readiness Documentation
• Hands-on experience executing complex functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as:
  • Azure DevOps
  • Jira
  • ALM/Quality Center (Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle management and root cause analysis.
• Experience performing risk-based testing and test coverage analysis.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while working independently.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers, and Vendors.
