Location: 90% travel, with a new site each week after the initial 2 week training period (Travel Across Continental USA)
Pay Rate : $60-80/hr on W2 without any benefits (Negotiable)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Dynamics 365 Field Service Deployment Architect is an individual contributor, contract role responsible for the on‑site deployment, training, and go‑live support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service as part of a 16‑week national rollout. This role supports a structured deployment cadence of one site per week, ensuring each location is fully trained, operationally ready, and successfully transitioned to the platform.
The Deployment Architect works directly with frontline technicians, dispatchers, and site leadership, delivering hands‑on training and serving as the primary on‑site technical authority during each deployment week. This role does not include people management responsibilities and is focused entirely on execution, enablement, and adoption.
Core Responsibilities
Weekly Site Deployment & Go‑Live
- Execute end‑to‑end on‑site deployment of Dynamics 365 Field Service for one location per week.
- Lead site‑level readiness activities, including:
- User access validation
- Mobile device readiness
- Data and configuration verification
- Support go‑live and hypercare during the deployment week to ensure operational stability.
- Act as the primary on‑site escalation point for deployment‑related issues.
On‑Site Training & Enablement
- Deliver hands‑on, instructor‑led training tailored to each site, including:
- Field Technicians (mobile app usage, work orders, inspections, offline scenarios)
- Dispatchers (scheduling, resource optimization, work order management)
- Site Leadership (visibility, reporting, adoption expectations)
- Reinforce standardized workflows while addressing local operational nuances.
- Validate user proficiency prior to site exit.
Solution Execution & Feedback Loop
- Apply defined Dynamics 365 Field Service configurations consistently across sites.
- Validate integrations, workflows, and mobile performance in real‑world conditions.
- Capture field feedback, issues, and improvement opportunities and relay them to the central rollout team.
- Document site‑level outcomes, risks, and lessons learned to support successive deployments.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service or comparable enterprise field service platforms.
- Strong background working directly with field service technicians and dispatch operations.
- Demonstrated success in on‑site software deployment and training within distributed, multi‑location environments.
- Ability to independently manage weekly site deployments with minimal oversight.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort operating in live production environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Willingness and ability to travel weekly for the duration of the contract.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Dynamics 365 Field Service configuration and usage
- Mobile workforce solutions (iOS / Android)
- Work Orders, Assets, Agreements, Inspections
- Offline mobile scenarios and device considerations
- Power Platform familiarity (Power Apps / Power Automate) preferred
- REST API and integration awareness
- Understanding of cloud‑based architectures (Microsoft Azure preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Prior participation in wave‑based or site‑by‑site enterprise rollouts
- Experience in fleet, transportation, utilities, or emergency service environments
- Familiarity with change management in operational field settings
- Experience supporting standardized deployments across geographically diverse sites
Travel Expectations
This role requires weekly travel to deployment sites across the continental U.S. The contract is intentionally structured around on‑site execution, with minimal ongoing remote responsibilities after each site goes live.
Work Style: Heavy on‑site presence with limited remote follow‑up
Travel Reimbursement: "Its hourly rate plus reasonable actual food transportation and lodging. Ex. Coach travel, mid-grade hotels, economy vehicles, max $75 usd per day for food."
