Job Description

We are seeking an Oracle Administrator Contractor to join our dynamic team supporting our client's project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle database administration and Oracle Financials Cloud R2R functional leadership, and a proven ability to stabilize production operations, resolve complex incidents, and drive continuous improvements across close and accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases for optimal performance, security, and availability.


• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.


• Monitor and tune database performance, including SQL optimization and resource management.


• Implement and maintain database security to protect sensitive data.


• Execute backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.


• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and provide support to users and developers.


• Lead functional support delivery across Oracle Financials Cloud R2R modules, including GL, SLA/accounting flows, period close, reconciliations, financial reporting, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Lease Management, Oracle Projects (Costing and Billing), and EPM tools (ARCS, FCCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting).


• Own incident triage and resolution for P1/P2 production issues and drive root-cause analysis and prevention.


• Coordinate L2/L3 work across functional resources with consistent incident, problem, and change management practices.


• Monitor and support integrations, interfaces, and batch jobs (FBDI, APIs, OIC), including error handling and reprocessing.


• Manage quarterly Oracle Cloud update readiness, impact assessment, regression testing coordination, and production validation.


• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles, and provide operational reporting on SLAs, backlog, and recurring-issue trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years in Oracle Financials with R2R focus


• Advanced Oracle database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.


• Oracle Financials Functional experience with deep Record-to-Report expertise, including GL, SLA, close, and reporting.


• Proven leadership of Oracle Cloud production support (L2/L3) and cross-functional incident management.


• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills for runbooks, SOPs, and RCA.

Preferred Skills:

• ITIL support processes with tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.


• OTBI and BI Publisher reporting validation and close reporting reconciliation.
