The OpportunityWe are collaborating with multiple companies in Otsego seeking experienced Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware issues.
- Document, track, and monitor IT issues to ensure timely resolution and escalate complex problems to appropriate teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printer, scanner, and shop floor device malfunctions.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations and manufacturing equipment.
- Support users with access control, password resets, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance on IT equipment in production areas.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, industrial terminals) and software issues (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, ERP systems).
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and basic server administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to assist users of varying technical proficiencies.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with SCADA systems or other industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).
- Basic understanding of networking in an industrial setting (e.g., Profinet, EtherNet/IP).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT environment.
