The OpportunityWe are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Portage that are seeking skilled Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve IT issues related to production machinery and control systems.
- Document and track all help desk tickets, resolutions, and system changes.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals on the factory floor.
- Assist with the deployment and support of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize system performance and reliability.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
