Help Desk Technician | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with shop floor control systems and equipment.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution and maintain accurate records.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment in production areas.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
• Escalate complex technical problems to appropriate IT personnel or third-party vendors.
• Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting specialized manufacturing equipment and software (e.g., PLCs, MES, SCADA).
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles relevant to industrial settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse manufacturing personnel.
• Ability to document technical procedures and solutions clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems or other industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and terminology.
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks.
