Role Overview
This organization is seeking a Cornerstone Galaxy Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for a critical Learning Management System (LMS) migration. This role will drive the technical architecture and execution of the transition from a legacy system to Cornerstone Galaxy, partnering with internal teams and external vendors. The position is essential for moving the organization to the next generation of learning technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical lead for the Cornerstone Galaxy migration project, partnering with an external System Integration (SI) partner and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural ownership for the Galaxy engagement.
- Lead discovery phases, technical design, and execution of the LMS migration.
- Drive technical architecture decisions and partner with multiple internal teams and external vendors.
- Provide technical guidance on Cornerstone Galaxy functionality, capabilities, and limitations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to address challenges and optimize the migration process.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks associated with the migration.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cornerstone Galaxy Technical Architect or Technical Lead, including prior LMS-to-Galaxy migrations.
- Strong expertise in LMS technical architecture, including configurations, integrations, and data migration.
- Experience serving as the overall technical lead for large-scale technology implementations, partnering with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and align diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI, automation, or emerging learning technologies within Cornerstone Galaxy (skills, personalization, workflows).
- Background in instructional design or content transformation.
Work Environment
The selected candidate will join an existing Learning Technology team of approximately 12-13 individuals who currently support the legacy LMS platform. The migration project is in the discovery phase, which is scheduled to begin in June and last approximately 12 weeks, followed by the execution phase.
