Role Overview

The Support Engineering Data Specialist II supports the development, analysis, and maintenance of technical and logistics support data for aircraft platforms. This role focuses on engineering data interpretation, logistics support analysis, spares provisioning, and technical publication support to ensure aircraft systems meet reliability, maintainability, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Support Analysis

Interpret and analyze engineering, reliability, maintainability, supply chain, and customer operations data to develop effective support solutions.
Develop and maintain supportability concepts, including maintenance, inspection, provisioning, and spares solutions.
Establish operation and maintenance tasks and define required support resources.
Develop support systems to achieve defined supportability requirements.

Logistics & Provisioning Support

Identify and analyze logistics support elements using product definitions.
Develop logistics support analysis (LSA) records and reports.
Determine spares provisioning requirements, including spare and replacement part recommendations, stocking levels, and quantity planning for specific customers and contracts.

Technical Documentation

Write, review, and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.
Support technical publication development across multiple aircraft platforms and teams.
Assist in collecting, storing, analyzing, and evaluating system support technical data and specifications.

Performance & Reliability Support

Review aircraft and fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability metrics.
Assist with establishing maintenance concepts based on performance data analysis.

Collaboration & Process Compliance

Work closely with engineers, subject-matter experts, illustrators, and cross-functional teams.
Follow established processes, checklists, and documentation standards.
Manage timelines effectively and meet project deadlines.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Minimum 4 years of experience in:
- United States Air Force heavy aircraft general maintenance and/or
- United States Air Force aircraft structures
Proficiency with technical authoring tools, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Adobe Acrobat
- FrameMaker
- Arbortext Editor
Ability to read and interpret:
- Engineering drawings
- Wiring diagrams
- Schematics
- Parts lists
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational, time-management, and deadline-driven work habits
Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow established procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Jet engine maintenance experience
Hydraulic technician experience
Structural engineering or technical background
Nondestructive Evaluation / Inspection (NDE/NDI) experience

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus required experience
