Job#: 3032367 Job Description: Apex Systems has an immediate need for an Active Directory Administrator to join an Operational Technology (OT) team and project. This person will be responsible for advancing the capabilities and performance of an Active Directory infrastructure within a Process Automation environment.
You will work closely with OT Engineers and Plant Automation Engineers, as well as partner with key business leaders, IT leaders, and global OT teams to provide plant support and project delivery.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in a technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, etc.
- Active Directory Admin experience
- Technical experience with Process Automation systems, including Rockwell, Emerson DeltaV or Valmet (Novatech) D/3, would be considered an asset for the position
- Experience supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services, including experience managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of Active Directory and Windows servers
- Ability to travel or work on-call as needed
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automating procedures in PowerShell or similar platforms
Job Responsibilities: - Design, create and implement Group Policy Objects based on current security standards
- Manage existing and implement new domain trusts within the process security zone
- Implement and manage effective, secure domain policies
- Manage the overall health of the iDMZ and process domains
- Manage the configuration and deployment of Windows Server Update Services
- Perform Organizational Unit, Group and User creation/deletion for the iDMZ and process security zones
- Manage and implement roles based access controls
- Keep up-to-date documentation of base and custom Group Policy Objects and other domain policies
- Create and manage the standards regarding the iDMZ and process domains
- Carry out continuous personal development, ensuring technical skills are kept up to date and non-technical skills are gained and improved
- Provide boots on the ground support for manufacturing plants -emergency and break fix, planned installations, limited personal computer/end user support, etc.
- Some travel and on-call work are expected as part of this position
Required Skills: - Ability to manage the maintenance and upgrades of the OT Active Directory domains
- Experience in creating and managing Active Directory domains, trusts, DNS, WSUS and other domain-based services
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Comfortable working with cross-functional global teams
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment; willingness to learn new skills and take direction from other team members; and ability to organize information and manage time efficiently
- Experience in supporting plant operations and 24/7 operating requirements
