IT Operator (Contract)
Location: Hybrid – Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL
Schedule: 24/7 rotating shifts (12-hour rotations)
Pay Rate: $22/hour

Overview
Join a fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) team supporting mission-critical infrastructure around the clock. We’re looking for a detail-oriented IT Operator with strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. This role involves monitoring systems, resolving incidents, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure uninterrupted network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support network infrastructure (routers, switches)
- Track system performance using tools like Moogsoft or similar alerting platforms
- Respond to incidents and troubleshoot network issues in real time
- Manage and update tickets using platforms such as ServiceNow
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues
- Maintain documentation and generate performance reports
- Escalate critical issues and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations
- Follow established incident management processes
Required Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and process management skills
- Basic knowledge of networking (routers, switches, connectivity)
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., Moogsoft or similar)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams)
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.)
- Prior experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment
