  • Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Specialist

Summary

Key Responsibilities

The EOC Specialist focuses on real-time incident management and technical troubleshooting.

  • Continuous Monitoring: Actively monitors enterprise systems, networks, and hardware using specialized software (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk) to identify alerts or performance degradations.

  • Crisis Communication: Leads the "Incident Response Bridge" during major outages. This involves coordinating conference calls between stakeholders, documenting the timeline, and providing status updates to DDOT leadership.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Generates daily operational status reports and contributes to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports to prevent recurring issues.

  • Data Center Support: Provides on-site "hands-on" support at data centers during off-hours, including escorting technicians or manually resetting hardware.

Required Skills & Experience

Because Client manages critical infrastructure, the requirements are often stringent.

  • Experience: Typically requires 4 to 7 years of experience in an Enterprise Operations Center or Network Operations Center (NOC).

  • Technical Knowledge: * Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Routers/Switches).

    • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.

    • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.

  • Certifications: While not always mandatory, ITIL Foundation or CompTIA Network+/Security+ are highly preferred.

  • Soft Skills: Strong ability to remain calm and analytical during high-pressure emergency situations.
