The Junior Engineer handles the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and user-level support. They work under the supervision of the Senior Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Provisioning: Setting up new agent profiles, headsets, and softphone software for customer service representatives.
Monitoring: Using dashboards (like Grafana or Nagios) to track call quality, latency, and dropped call rates.
Basic Troubleshooting: Resolving hardware issues, resetting passwords, and fixing minor script errors in the IVR.
Documentation: Maintaining the knowledge base for common technical issues and system configurations.
On-Call Rotation: Participating in after-hours support for emergency transportation hotlines.

Qualifications

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, or equivalent technical certifications.
Experience: 1–3 years in IT support or network administration.
Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or foundational Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS).
