## Key Responsibilities

In this role, you aren''t just fixing laptops; you are ensuring the technology that moves the city stays online.

Advanced Troubleshooting: Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for complex hardware and software issues that junior staff cannot resolve.
Infrastructure Management: Designing, installing, and maintaining LAN/WAN systems, VoIP, and server equipment within DDOT facilities.
Mobile & Field Tech: Supporting mobile device management (MDM) for field inspectors and coordinating the tech used in "Intelligent Transportation Systems" (ITS).
Security & Compliance: Enforcing D.C. government information security policies, managing software licenses, and ensuring data integrity across the agency.
Project Leadership: Leading IT life-cycle projects, such as agency-wide hardware refreshes or the implementation of new cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace or ServiceNow).

## Required Qualifications & Skills

Education	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience	At least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (e.g., if applying for a CS-13, you must have CS-12 level experience).
Technical Stack	Proficiency in Windows/Linux, Active Directory, Google Workspace, and ServiceNow.
Certifications	CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly valued; Microsoft or Cisco certifications are a plus.
Soft Skills	Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical Department of Transportation staff and executives.
