Support Project Manager/Lead

Description

We are looking for an experienced Support Project Manager/Lead to oversee multiple projects within the application development domain. This long-term contract role is based in Houston, Texas, and requires someone who can efficiently manage sensitive initiatives impacting a large user base. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, adaptability to various methodologies, and a focus on optimizing tools and processes.

Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of projects, typically handling several simultaneously, from initial requirements gathering through completion.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including a Cyber Security team of 25-30 members, to ensure project goals align with organizational objectives.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, utilizing Agile or Waterfall methodologies tailored to the project and audience.
Ensure thorough documentation is maintained for all projects to support transparency and accountability.
Optimize project tools and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
Facilitate communication between teams to address sensitive issues affecting end users, sales, and other critical areas.
Stay updated on the latest project management tools and trends to continually improve workflows.
Report on project outcomes and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven experience in project management, particularly in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the ability to adapt approaches based on project needs.
Strong organizational and documentation skills to support project transparency.
Background in Cyber Security or experience managing projects in this domain is preferred.
Ability to work effectively with teams of varying sizes and disciplines.
Expertise in optimizing and utilizing modern project management tools.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
