IT PMO Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced IT PMO Manager to oversee and drive successful delivery of projects in a dynamic environment. This long-term contract position is based in Houston, Texas, and requires expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Implement Agile Scrum practices to optimize project delivery and team collaboration.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets while tracking progress against milestones.
Facilitate communication across teams and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Oversee the use of Atlassian Jira for tracking project tasks, workflows, and reporting.
Monitor risks and issues, proposing and implementing solutions to mitigate them.
Ensure adherence to project management standards and best practices.
Provide regular updates and reports on project status, performance, and deliverables.
Support the PMO by contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives.
Coordinate certification and compliance efforts as required for project execution.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and ability to apply them effectively.
PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project tracking and reporting.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mitigate risks proactively.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
