Job Description:

Apex Systems is hiring a strong, execution-focused Infrastructure PM that has exceptional communication, is detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and follow through.

The Project Manager will lead day-to-day coordination and delivery execution for a Data Center Risk Assessment engagement, supporting the assessment of 18 data centers within an 8-week delivery window. Partnering with the Program Leader, Project Coordinator, Engagement Manager, and third-party vendor, this role serves as the operational hub of the project-driving communications, scheduling, documentation, and site coordination to keep a fast-paced, multi-site program on track.

Role Overview
  • Mid-level Project Manager (40 hrs/week)
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Duration: Initial 8-week project with strong extension potential
  • Compensation: $50-65/hr
  • Heavy execution, coordination, communication, and tracking role

Core Responsibilities

Program Coordination
  • Drive day-to-day execution of the assessment program
  • Maintain project schedules, timelines, and dependencies
  • Track deliverables, milestones, and action items across all sites
  • Serve as backup to the Program Lead when needed.

Communications & Reporting
  • Create weekly status reports
  • Schedule and host recurring status meetings
  • Communicate with Charter stakeholders, Apex leadership, and third-party partners
  • Document meeting notes, decisions, and action items.

Site Coordination
  • Coordinate badging and site access
  • Manage communications related to all 18 site assessments
  • Coordinate data room/shared folder access and permissions
  • Own meeting scheduling and follow-up activities.

Meeting Management This person will coordinate:
  • 18 Pre-Kickoff Calls
  • 18 Site Kickoff Calls
  • 18 Post-Site Q&A Reviews
  • 18 Final Report Reviews
  • Additional weekly status meetings and ad hoc communications

Must-Haves
  • Project management experience supporting infrastructure, facilities, network, telecom, or data center-related initiatives
  • Strong scheduling and coordination skills
  • Experience managing multiple parallel workstreams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong documentation and reporting experience
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency (Teams, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Self-starter who drives follow-up without constant direction.
