OverviewOur client is seeking a Business System Administrator to support, configure, and enhance their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment. This role ensures the PLM system operates efficiently, aligns with business needs, and supports product development and manufacturing processes across the organization. The administrator will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement system improvements.
This is a customer-focused role that requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
Must-Have RequirementHands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage (formerly Fusion Lifecycle) is required.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, configure, and support the organization's PLM system (Autodesk Fusion Manage).
- Support manufacturing software and technology platforms integrated with PLM.
- Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing education as needed.
- Implement and maintain standards for manufacturing software and PLM processes.
- Collaborate with specialists across engineering, manufacturing, and IT to ensure alignment across systems.
- Research and implement tools, add-ins, scripts, automations, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Provide feedback on technology improvements, standards, and workflow optimization.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and team members to foster open communication and trust.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute assignments in a timely and organized manner.
- Influence without authority and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Systems & Tools- Primary: Autodesk Fusion Manage (required)
- Secondary: Autodesk Vault (integrated with PLM)
- Integration exposure with systems such as Acumatica or other ERP/MES/QMS tools is beneficial.
Minimum Requirements- Associate's degree in a technology field or equivalent experience.
- Must have hands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage.
- Proficiency with PLM systems and their integration points.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing design processes and product lifecycle workflows.
- Experience supporting, configuring, and enhancing manufacturing technology systems.
- Ability to train users and create clear documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ideal Background- Experience in product development, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience configuring PLM workflows, permissions, objects, and lifecycle states.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault or similar document management systems.
- Ability to analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
- Comfortable supporting multiple business units and managing competing priorities.
Logistics- Travel: 5-15%
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 AM-5 PM (may vary; occasional nights/weekends as needed)
- Work Environment: Fully remote with collaboration across distributed teams
