Job Description:
Employees in this role are responsible for defining and executing software testing strategies, developing and optimizing test procedures, and creating automation scripts. The position includes incident triage, defect reproduction and reporting, and thorough documentation of test cases and scenarios.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop Test Strategy & Standards Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with organizational vision, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Apply Advanced Testing Concepts Establish advanced testing principles and methodologies to address highly complex technical and business challenges.Design & Execute Test Cases Plan, design, and execute repeatable test cases and automation scripts across a variety of software applications and systems.Use Test Management Tools Leverage test management platforms for planning, developing, executing, monitoring, and reporting on test activities.Incident Management Monitor, triage, and escalate software product incidents in accordance with the organization's incident management process.Root Cause Analysis Conduct and manage RCA for production incidents, implementing preventive actions through automated unit, integration, and regression tests.Continuous Optimization Continuously evaluate, refine, and automate testing methodologies, tools, and scripts to improve efficiency and quality. Required Skills- Test Cases: Ability to execute and document comprehensive test cases for broad user consumption.
- Software Testing: Experience performing software testing with and without predefined test cases.
- Regression Testing: Skilled in evaluating multiple areas of a system to validate stability after changes.
- Application Testing: Experience performing both positive and negative test scenarios across full application workflows.
- Test Planning: Ability to collaborate with teams to develop structured testing plans.
- Jira: Experience using Jira or similar tools for defect tracking and project management.
Required Experience- 2-4 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in software testing.
Required Education Must Have- Technical Proficiency: Experience in software development, SQL querying, and QA testing/validation.
- Requirements Translation: Ability to convert customer needs into clear functional specifications, diagrams, and process models.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong capability to verify requirements for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility.
- Professional Drive: Self-directed with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Communication & Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-service-focused mindset.
Nice to Have- Familiarity with Planisware and cloud environments.
- Experience with software automation testing.
- Agile background (e.g., converting roadmaps into user stories).
- Skills in data analysis, data modeling, and dashboard visualization.
- Experience in business process improvement and identifying bottlenecks.
