JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 (M365) Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise collaboration tools. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring optimal adoption and value realization across the M365 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Roadmap
Define and maintain the product roadmap for Microsoft 365 services aligned with business goals
Continuously evaluate new M365 features (including Copilot) and assess business impact
Drive long-term strategy for collaboration, productivity, and digital workplace initiatives
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and vendors
Gather, refine, and translate business requirements into actionable product features
Communicate product vision and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Product Backlog & Delivery
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization of features and enhancements
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-value solutions
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and acceptance of deliverables
Adoption & Change Management
Drive enterprise adoption of M365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, etc.)
Develop and execute change management strategies and user enablement programs
Promote best practices to enhance collaboration and productivity
Service Optimization & Governance
Oversee deployment, migration, and lifecycle management of M365 services
Collaborate with Microsoft and internal teams to stay aligned with release updates
Ensure governance, compliance, and security best practices are followed
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Define and track KPIs related to usage, adoption, and platform performance
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a technical environment
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 ecosystem:
o Microsoft Teams
o SharePoint Online
o OneDrive
o Exchange Online
o Exposure to Microsoft Copilot is a plus
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong backlog management and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
o Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
o Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)
Experience with enterprise-scale M365 implementations or migrations
Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security frameworks in M365
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and leadership abilities
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
