Vulnerability Remediation Engineer

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

This role involves leading a domain within a new Vulnerability Remediation Engineer team. The position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and support related to vulnerability management and patching. Key functions include serving as a point of contact for application teams, working with technology stakeholders, and resolving vulnerability remediation issues to deliver on the infrastructure portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare domains and the enterprise for a ServiceNow transition.
  • Provide strategic leadership across ServiceNow to influence change.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on process, data, and stakeholders for vulnerability remediation and patching.
  • Deliver support for questions related to vulnerability management via existing tech support channels.
  • Act as a first-line liaison to Operations and Engineering teams performing vulnerability remediation.
  • Identify process and automation improvement opportunities within the assigned domain.
  • Oversee programs, coordinate activities across teams, and manage issue remediation or escalation.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 5+ years in Vulnerability Management.
  • 3+ years with ServiceNow Vulnerability Management.


Technical Skills:
  • ServiceNow Vulnerability Management module expertise.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
  • Experience with problem resolution for security vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and solution delivery processes.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience within this specific client's domain, particularly in a CIO Application or CTI product portfolio.
  • Experience with Confluence.
  • Strong ability to communicate, engage, and build partnerships with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed environment.
  • Skills in stakeholder management, risk management, and financial management.
