Commercial AV | Boston & New Hampshire | Long-Term Contract (3+ Years)

TEKsystems is looking for an experienced AV Commissioning Specialist for a long-term contract engagement - minimum 3 years - supporting commercial audiovisual deployments across Greater Boston and New Hampshire.
This is a field-based role where no two days look the same. You'll be moving across a mix of commercial client sites, taking newly installed AV systems from rough completion to fully optimized, client-ready solutions. What You'll Be Doing

• Commissioning, testing, and validating commercial AV systems - conferencing solutions, control systems, displays, audio systems, and networked AV components
• Performing system calibration, DSP adjustments, and final tuning for optimal audio and video performance
• Reviewing engineering documentation, signal flow diagrams, and project specs to confirm accuracy and completeness
• Troubleshooting AV hardware, software, and network-related issues in live commercial environments
• Collaborating with installation teams, project managers, and engineers to identify and resolve technical issues
• Completing commissioning documentation - punch lists, test results, system reports
• Supporting end-user training and system handoff
• Representing TEKsystems professionally on client sites across the region

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience commissioning commercial AV systems
• Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, and system integration best practices
• Hands-on experience with platforms including Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, Dante, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and/or Zoom Rooms
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and design documentation
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers
• Excellent communication skills - you'll be working directly with clients on site
• Valid driver's license and comfortable with regional travel across Boston and NH

Nice to Have

• Industry certifications: CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron DMC-E, Q-SYS Level 2+, Biamp Tesira, or Dante Level 2/3
• Experience with commercial AV integrators or enterprise-level deployments
• Familiarity with construction environments and jobsite coordination

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
